Grace Bailey's Obituary
Grace L. Bailey, 93, of Clinton, IA, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center - North Campus in Clinton, IA. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig on Wednesday; April 30, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Ed, Richard and Mike Broderick, Doug Walwer and Tom Craig, Sr. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
Grace was born on Thursday, March 25, 1915, in New Hampton, IA; the daughter of Charles and Lela Baugh Knapp. She married William Bailey on August 12, 1930 in Waukon, Iowa; he died April 16, 1978. Grace was employed as a kitchen helper at the Country Kitchen and had been employed at the Rich Toy Factory.
She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Maquoketa and was the Former President of the Clinton V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (Tom) Craig, Jr. of Clinton, IA; and Mary Schoenfeld of Rock Island, IL; son, James Bailey of Rock Island, IL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
