Gordon H. Seeser's Obituary
Gordon H. Seeser, 89, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Clinton, Iowa passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Monday, January 30, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors being rendered by the United States Air Force. Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Seeser, Brent Seeser, Randy Seeser, Rick Skiff, Dennis Skiff and Tom Henricksen. Visitation will be from 12:00 (Noon) - 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Gordon Hansen Seeser was born November 2, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Eveyln (Hansen) Seeser. He was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 13 years, flew for the American Flyers commercial airline for 2 years, and retired from the Air National Guard in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Gordon achieved many awards and accolades during his career in the Air Force earning the rank of Lt. Colonel and most notable during the 1960-61’s, he flew the Thunder Support aircraft carrying things to support the Thunder Birds. During his 30 year flying career he logged 14,000 flying hours in 22 different types and models of aircrafts in all 50 states and 42 foreign countries. He enjoyed his time away from home flying but he always thought it was wonderful to come back home. After retiring from the military, Gordon earned his Real Estate license and managed many properties that he rented out.
Gordon was a member of the American Legion and he enjoyed dancing and traveling with his long-time girlfriend Dana.
He is survived by Dana Fleisher of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, brother: Harlan (Brenda) Seeser of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Jack and Richard Seeser, and one sister Arthera Skiff.
Memorial may be made to the Clinton Humane Society, Mercy Hospice or Grane Hospice in Harrisburg.
