Wayne, Kristin, Brad, Brian and family: I am so sorry to hear of Gloria's passing. We were such good friends for years. Health problems put an end to our glorious adventures, but we had so many. We met because of our love of quilting, and then continued our friendship through love of gardening and antiques. There were so many hours spent laughing ourselves silly over things no one else would understand. I have missed her so much these last years of our mutual health issues keeping us from getting together, and will miss her forever. Rest in the arms of God, my dear friend, until we meet again. Linda
Gloria and my mother were friends for years, and she spent time with us at craft shows and quilt shows and such. A fond memory was one where she attended a concert at "The Mark" in the Quad Cities (that's what it was called then) when we saw Billy Joel. It was my first big concert ever, and I was rather excited. As Billy Joel came onto the stage I was screaming along with the crowd. Later, my mother told me that Gloria looked over at my mother as I was squealing and made a comment about my screeching...not in a bad way. She was humored by my excitement. Anyway, I know her health hadn't been the best in recent years, but still sorry to hear of her passing. My sincerest condolences to the family.
