Gloria Sargent's Obituary
Gloria J. Sargent, 75, of Clinton passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City.
A celebration of life service will be at a later date. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist Gloria’s family.
Gloria Jean Werner was born August 19, 1944, the daughter of Frederick and Agnes (Schmidt) Werner. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Chicago, Illinois and then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University. She served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant from 1969 to 1973. After her service she worked mostly as a legal secretary. She loved living her life for her kids.
Gloria is survived by her children: Victoria (Robert) Swanson of Clinton and Scott (Maria Laura) Sargent of Virginia; one grandson: Julian R. Sargent; sister: Mary (Robert) Klein of Romeoville, Illinois; niece: Kathy (Todd) Rusher of Wood Dale, Illinois; two nephews: James Klein of Plainfield, Illinois and Michael (Valerie) Klein of Joliet, Illinois; and one great niece Kiana Klein of Plainfield, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her paternal grandmother that was very dear to her Emilie Werner.
