Gloria L. Putnam's Obituary
Gloria L. Putnam, 84, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 at 9:00am at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 11:30am, January 30, 2021, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery – Oak Lawn, Illinois. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Gloria Louise Stanquist was born on October 5, 1936 in Oak Lawn, Illinois, the daughter of John and Alice (Anderson) Standquist. She married Donald Putnam on December 17, 1955 and they just recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. She was proud to work to help her husband finish college before starting their family.
Gloria loved spending time playing games with her family. Her other hobbies and activites included bridge, golf, bowling, and was very proud of her garden.
Gloria is survived by her husband: Don of Clinton; her children: Donna (Bob) Ladner of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Jill (Mike) Schamberger of Chicago, Illinois, and Scott (Brenda) Putnam of Palos Hills, Illinois; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
