Gloria J. Eskew's Obituary
Gloria Eskew, 76, of Clinton passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery next to her husband, Don. Gloria Jean Pope was born December 21, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Aletta (McClelland) Pope. She married Donald Eskew on October 28, 1963; he preceded her in death on September 25, 2011.
Gloria lived in Clinton, Iowa most of her life and she was a member of the Church of the Open Door. She enjoyed making quilts for others, kicking her heels up on the dance floor and gardening. Gloria loved interior design and had a special skill for turning a space into a welcoming, comfortable place to relax and chat with loved ones. She loved to host family gatherings at the holidays and her sugar cookies and cherry tarts will be missed by all.
She is survived by her two children: Don (Julie) Eskew of Camanche and Dawn Kazoleas of Irvine, California; grandchildren: Dylan Eskew of Camanche, Cody (Jules) Eskew of Clinton; Megan Taylor of Irvine, California, Corinne Kazoleas of Tustin, California, Christian Kazoleas of Irvine, California, great grandchildren: Xander Bowker, Axl Eskew and Sophia Taylor; her mother Aletta Olson of Clinton; and siblings: Charla Seitz of Litchfield Park, Arizona, Mitzi Richter of Clinton and Mike Pope of Clinton.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Don.
