Gladys M. Osmundson's Obituary
Gladys M. Osmundson, 79, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Osmundson, Jeff King, Richard Johnson, Keith Johnson, Ben Treakle, Jr., and Tom Neubauer. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory, and from 10:00am to the service time Saturday at the church.
Gladys Marie Scott was born on July 15, 1935 in DeSoto, Missouri the daughter of Cleveland and Ethel Mae (Denny) Scott. She was a graduate of DeSoto High School. She married Lloyd “Buzz” Osmundson on April 27, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church, he died January 18, 2004.
Gladys was employed at Wyndcrest Nursing Home for many years in the kitchen.
Gladys was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on Ladies Aid, served as past president of the PTA at Lincoln Elementary, and served on the Citizens Police Academy.
Gladys is survived by her son: Scott Osmundson of Chester, Virginia, her daughter: Janet Verdon of Clinton; two sisters: Nedra (Joe) Courtway of DeSoto, Missouri, Virginia Scott of Brighton, Colorado; and four precious cats.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son-in-law: Michael; four sisters, and one brother.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family to be divided among various charities.
