Back in the 1980's, when I used to dispatch for law enforcement, Jerry was always the first officer in the morning, to call in, that he was on duty. He was a very dedicated officer and a nice guy!

I was so sorry to read of Jerry’s passing. I worked with Jerry over the years when I was a reporter at the Clinton Herald. He was always so helpful, polite and friendly. You and your family are in our prayers.

Grace, mercy, and peace to you Janice. Jerry rests from his labors. He sins no more. He awaits the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. He knew His Redeemer lives, and since He lives, we too, shall live eternally. Jesus said, " Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3 Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Take care. I wish I could be there, but this mortal life gets in the way. We will miss him, but we can be assured that by the cross, Jerry was forgiven and by the empty tomb of Christ, our tombs will be emptied also....and we will be around the throne and the Lamb! I remember the first time he stopped me driving in Camanche with a gentle reminder to watch my speed. Then I got home & Mom told me he was the Chief that when I started shaking. Jan & Jeff know that LOVE & HUGS come your way from his cousin Barbara & Vern.
