George H. Johnson's Obituary
George H. Johnson, 96, of Clinton passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center- South. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with the cremation. His urn will be buried at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, Illinois at a later date.
George was born September 16, 1921 in Braintree, Massachusetts, the son of Ture and Sally (Nydahl) Johnson. He attended Stowhail High School in Stow, Massachusetts. He married Shirley Dykema on June 11, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa; she preceded him in death on December 11, 2005.
George is survived by his step daughter: Mary (Keith) Hensler of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Johnson of California.
In addition to his wife George was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, one brother, and his great granddaughter.
Memorial may be made the SPCA.
