Gary L. Wilke's Obituary
Gary L. Wilke, 85, of Clinton passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at his home.
There will be no formal services at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded, with burial in Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to serve the Wilke family.
Gary Lee Wilke was born April 18, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Werner and Lillian (May) Wilke. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1963. He married Linda Kair on April 10, 1964; she preceded him in death in 2012.
Gary drove semi-trucks over the road for many years and later he worked as a dealer on the Mississippi Belle II. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing cards with his family. He and Linda enjoyed traveling and taking motorcycle rides.
Gary is survived by his son Jeffrey (Petra) WIlke of Clinton; two brothers: Grant (Janice) WIlke of Clinton and W.T. Anthony of Clinton; and two sisters: Marianne Christoffersen of Ft. Myers, Florida and Kym Hansen of Fulton, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one daughter Martha Wilke.
