Mary and Family:
We share with you the toil and struggle in this early and unplanned passing of Fred. It grieves me in my own heart to not be able to be there with you and your children during this untimely, heartbreaking event. If for no other reason to be there than to hold your hand but instead we are left here to only pray and trust in Godâ??s Word with a stirring of our faith for God's eternal promise:
â??For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: â??Death has been swallowed up in victory.â?? Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. â?? 1 Corinthians 15:53-57
As mortal human beings, it is in moments such as these, that we become a selfish people when it comes to the eternal passing of someone we love so much. We will all miss Fred terribly as he penetrated all of our lives with such great thoughts and memories. In the days ahead, our prayers will be laid at the foot of Godâ??s eternal throne for His everlasting peace and quiet of the Comforter to fill the voids left in your hearts.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. â?? II Thessalonians 3:16

Any time we loose a Metzger it is a tough day. Fred and I were not that close but new each other. My Mom (Ann Metzger) thought the world of him and his wife Mary. My family also appreciated Mary when my Dad was in the hospital in 1992. Best regards to the entire family.
