Francis "Butch" Davis' Obituary
Francis “Butch” Davis, 73, of Camanche, passed away, Sunday, November 17, 2024 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the funeral home on Thursday.
Francis Raymond Davis was born on June 8, 1951 in Clinton, the son of Harold and Flo (Smith) Davis. He was a 1969 graduate of Camanche High School. He married Beverly Bell on December 21, 1974 in Camanche.
Butch was an electrician at S.S.A.B Steel in Montpelier, Iowa for 24 years and also worked part-time at Home Depot. He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church (formerly First Baptist Church) in Camanche, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his sons.
Butch is survived by his wife: Bev of Camanche; three sons: Ryan Davis of Camanche, Sean Davis of Clinton, and Ethan Davis of Clinton; his brother: Harold “Hod” Davis of Clinton, and sister-in-law: Carol Davis of Moline, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials can be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church, UCB Patients Assistance Program, or the Iowa Donor Network.
