Frances Winslow's Obituary
Frances J. Winslow, 88, of Clinton, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton.
Memorial Services will be 11:00am Monday, April, 14, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
Frances J. Jacobs was born on April 11, 1920in Fontanelle, Iowa, the daughter of Ellery and Letta (James) Jacobs. She married George H. Winslow in Des Moines, Iowa on October 6, 1940; he died April 11, 1986.
Frances graduated from Fontanelle High School and also from the University of Northern Iowa.
Frances was a librarian with the Waterloo School District.
Frances a member of the Daughter of the American Revolution at Sam Houston and also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Rio Grande, Texas.
Frances is survived by four sons: Michael (Naomi) Winslow of Lexington, Nebraska; James (Janet) Winslow of Morrison, Illinois George (Lynn) Winslow, Jr., of Cedar Falls, and Dr. Lawrence (Shirley) Agodoa of Silver Springs, Maryland, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-granchildren.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, and one grandson.
Memorials can be made to Clinton County Habitat for Humanity.
