Frances Bebensee's Obituary
Frances Bebensee, 91, of Clinton, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Mercy Living Center, South. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Saturday, January 2, 2010, at the Prince of Peace Parish Sacred Heart Chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be Adria Bebensee, Trisha Erne, Ryan Bebensee, Michael Bebensee, Dan Elliott, and Bob Bell. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Frances Miller was born on October 8, 1918, in Thomson, Illinois, the daughter of John and Sarah (Groharing) Miller. She married Fred C. Bebensee on March 1, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, he later died March 30, 1978. She attended the Clinton Schools. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing cards. She is survived by two sons: Edward (Lonette) Bebensee of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Paul (Shelley) Bebensee of Clinton, Iowa; two daughters: Mary (Norman) Elliott of Clinton, Iowa, and Sr. Donna Bebensee, BVM of Dubuque, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, two brothers, and two sisters, and one great-granddaughter. Memorials can be made to the family.
