Norma Hammer (Mercy Auxiliary)
Ferne was a very loyal, long time member of Mercy Auxiliary. When she first volunteered it was Samaritan Auxiliary. I met Ferne when I first joined and she was so nice to me and very helpful. When I became President of the Auxiliary she was very supportive and I appreciated her so much. We missed her when she had to resign and leave Clinton to be with her family. We knew she was having problems and needed to be closer to her family. She talked about her loving family and was very proud of all of you. When I saw in the paper that she died it was like losing her all over again. We couldn't wish her back when she is in a beautiful place called Heaven where there is no more pain or suffering. May God bless all her family and keep you all in His tender loving care.
