Eleanor Mussmann, 86, of Clinton, died, Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with Connie Beck officiating. Visitation will be 11:00am to the service time Friday at the funeral home.
Frances Eleanor Mussmann was born on September 6, 1921 in Elwood City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Christopher and Jessie (Phenicie) Haswell. She married Martin Mussmann, Sr., on February 24, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri; he died August 23, 1984.
Eleanor was a housekeeper for many Clinton families for 69 years. She devoted her entire life to her children.
Eleanor is survived by three sons: Richard (Barbara) Printy of Geneseo, Illinois, Terry Wells of Houston, Texas, and Martin (Sally) Mussmann, Jr., and Fulton, Illinois; four daughters: Marcia (Ken) Yohe of Pahrump, Nevada, Sallie Dodd of Knoxville, Illinois, Mary (Ray) Newberg of Clinton, Iowa, and Anna (Jim) Mullen of Cadiz, Kentucky; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; one sister: Margaret Kish of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and nine sisters.
