Eveyln G. Kamphuis' Obituary
Evelyn G. Kamphuis, 100, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Eagle Point Health Care Facility.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Monday, August 31, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Leupke officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time Monday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Evelyn Gertrude Langheim was born on June 4, 1920 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Frieda (Lange) Langheim. She was a 1938 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Llewellyn Kamphuis on December 7, 1947 in Clinton; he died November 19, 1991.
Evelyn was an office worker at JC Penny in Clinton for many years retiring in 1952. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
Evelyn is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister: Ruth.
