Evelyn F. Thomsen's Obituary
Evelyn Frances Thomsen, 96, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Alverno, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Camanche. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Pallbearers will be Randy Thomsen, Rick Graham, Josh Andrews, J.J. Rickertsen and Dave Thomsen.

Evelyn was born August 4, 1918 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Grace (Bower) White. She was a 1936 Clinton High School graduate. Evelyn married Harry “Peck” Thomsen on March 20, 1937 in Camanche; Peck died October 12, 2001.
Evelyn was a homemaker, she was an 84 year member of the First Baptist Church in Camanche where she played the piano for 70 years and directed the choir for 63 years. She also taught Sunday school and was a deaconess and bible study leader. She was very active in her faith.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Kay (Richard “Butch”) Graham of Camanche; Cindi (Kenny) Lind of Camanche; son, Gary (Myra) Thomsen of Colorado Springs, CO; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Nick Rickertsen and her parents.
