Evelyn Mae Mueller's Obituary
Evelyn Mae Mueller, 104, of Clinton, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Park Vista, Camanche. Services will be held in the spring of 2020. Burial will take place at a later date at Springdale Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Evelyn Mae Secker was born July 4, 1915 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Laura (Steffen) Secker. She was a graduate of Aquin Catholic High School, Freeport, Illinois. She married Aloysius “Ted” Mueller October 14, 1939 in Freeport, Illinois; he died November 17, 2008.
Evelyn had been employed as librarian at the Clinton Public Library for 12 years prior to retiring. She was a member of Prince of Peace, was an avid bridge player and won the duplicate city tournament many years.
Survivors include her children, Meredith (Walter) Dabberdt of Boulder, Colorado; Laura (David) McIntire of Concord, California and Stephen (Donna) Mueller of Batavia, Illinois; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Secker.
