My first job, as a teenager, was working for Gene's dad at Machael Oil car wash . Later I also worked at the Circle G truck stop ( anyone remember that ? ) Gene, 5 years older than I , was always around the 2nd. St location & was always encouraging us " kids. " I would later run into Gene from time to time while working for the Clinton police department; he always had time to stop & visit about the " good old days. " I will never forget his smiling face & sunny disposition ! RIP, Gene

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Gene. I worked for Gene at Machael Tire as his cashier and bookkeeper for a few years. Gene always had a smile on his face no matter what the day would toss him. Each day seemed to be adventure and his Dad would sometimes pick up our son for me too from school and take him to events for me.
