Shirley,
I looked on the Clinton Herald website for "Doc's" obituary and was disappointed that I couldn't view his photo. Then I was so very pleased to see Doc's smiling face on the Snell-Zornig website! It's the way I remember him, so vibrant and fun! He had the advantage and could tell a joke while we had our mouths full of instruments! We couldn't respond except to laugh, and it always seemed to be timed right so there was no danger of hurting us! I'm smiling now! I am sorry we cannot be there on Tuesday, but know that our thoughts and prayers are there with you, Greg and Kevin. I know that Kathy will extend our condolences for us. We both have fond memories of "Doc" from when he was our caring and excellent dentist. Being Kathy's sister, she could call us when there was a cancellation and we'd fill the opening. Steve still tells others to this day that he NEVER felt the needle when Doc gave him a shot of novocaine. Our boys were never hesitant about going for a cleaning because neither had cavivties until their late teens. When he checked them, it helped that Doc was such a delightful person. In my case, I was in his chair often. Doc always cared about how my teeth looked, no matter how many fillings I had, and made sure that my crowns were the right color. My partial is admired by my current dentist as "Fine fitting and workmanship" now, 25 years later! More than a great dentist, he was very pleasant and had a great sense of humor. He'll be missed by many of his previous patients, who were made to feel like friends!
