Etta Mae Thompson's Obituary
Etta Mae Thompson, 80, of Camanche, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center – North.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Etta Mae Sechrest was born on May 4, 1934 in Eminence, Missouri. She was the daughter of Louis and Ruth (Williams) Sechrest. She married Orren Thompson on September 27, 1952 in Hardy, Arkansas; Orren passed away May 10, 1993.
Etta Mae was a homemaker. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, was an outstanding cook and seamstress, and adored her cats. She loved gardening and was a Young and the Restless fan.
Etta Mae is survived by her children: Orren (Janille) Thompson of Camanche, Michael Thompson of Clinton, Jeff (Cheryl) Thompson of Camanche, and Christi Thompson of Clinton; one brother: Ronnie (Diana) Deatherage of Port Orchard, Washington; 5 grandchildren: Caitlin Thompson, Jami (Andy) Luett, Donnie Thompson, Bridget (Willie) Rivers, and Alisha Thompson; one step-grandson: Rob Grimes; 5 great-grandchildren: Eligh Gilbert Luett, Emeree Kay Luett, Madison Thompson, Aubrey Rivers, and Willie Rivers; 3 step-great grandchildren: Jessica Grimes, Robert Grimes, and Amanda Grimes; one step-great-great grandchild: Siriah Grimes.
Etta Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson: Brandon, and two brothers: John Cecil Sechrest and Dwayne Deatherage.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
