Esther Wriedt's Obituary
Esther H. Wriedt, 90, of Clinton, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at Mercy Living Center- South. Memorial Services will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Sarah Harding Home, Clinton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Esther Helen Kracht was born on December 6, 1918 in Grand Mound, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Elsbeth (Brandenburg) Kracht. She married Gerald Wriedt on October 7, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa. Esther was a seamstress at the Clinton Garment Factory for 26 years retiring in 1981. Esther was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, and bowling. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 70 years; Gerald of Clinton: one son: Kenneth (Brenda) Wriedt of Thornton, Colorado, one daughter: Sheila (John) McMullen of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. Memorials can be made to the Sarah Harding Home.
