Esther Whitney's Obituary
Esther M. Whitney, 95, formerly of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Florry House in Plant City, Florida.
Services are going to be at a later date. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Esther Mary Eacker was born October 12, 1919 in Thomson, Illinois, the daughter of Frederick and Minnie (Bell) Eacker. She married Frederick E. Whitney on October 14, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her death on April 8, 1996.
Esther was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clinton.
Esther is survived by her children: James Whitney of Albany, Illinois, Thomas (Sandy) Whitney of Plant City, Florida, and Carolyn Ann Whitney Cook of Morgantown, West Virginia; one daughter-in-law Joy Whitney of Decorah, Iowa; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Fred, Esther was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son, two daughter-in-laws, three brothers, four sisters, and three grandsons.
