Elsie (Buell) Feeler was born October 23, 1936, in Salina, KS, the daughter of Willis “Bud” and Gladys (Sisson) Buell. She married Howard Dean Feeler, Sr., January 3, 1953 in Winfield, Kansas.
Over the years, Elsie worked many waitressing jobs, worked for the State of Kansas at the state hospital, at Swift and Company in Clinton, and as an in-store demonstrator for many companies, including Anderson Erickson. Volunteering was a huge part of her life; for Clinton County, RSVP, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, to name a few, receiving multiple Governors Awards for her volunteerism. But of all the jobs she had in life, the ones she cherished most were those of being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Elsie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Clinton, where she served many years as Church Treasurer, and a past member of multiple Masonic bodies.
Survivors include her son, Howard (Jan) Feeler of Viroqua, WI; her daughter, Mary (Anthony) Rogers of Janesville, MN; her grandchildren, Janet (Mike) Bielema of Clinton, Sarah (Nate) Kemmer of Des Moines, IA, Travis (Amanda) Feeler of Delmar, IA, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Williams of Savage, MN and Allison Rogers of South Saint Paul, MN; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother Harold (Helen) Buell of Spring Branch, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1994, her parents, a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Williams, two brothers and three sisters.
