Ellen Heldt's Obituary
Ellen Heldt, 83, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig assisted the family with arrangements.
Ellen was born December 26, 1929 in Harndrup, Denmark, the daughter of Marius and Inger (Rasmussen) Hansen. Ellen immigrated to the United States by herself at 18 years old. Ellen was a Button Girl at Clinton Garment Factory for many years.
Ellen married Herbert Heldt on October 21, 1949 in Fulton, IL. He passed away on February 19, 2001.
Survivors include her son, Phillip (Regina) Heldt of Fulton, IL; 2 granddaughters; 3 step-granddaughters; 5 great granddaughters; 5 step-great granddaughters; and a sister, Gerda (Karsten) Jensen of Strib, Denmark.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Herbert; her parents; brother Bent Hansen; and one great granddaughter.
