Elizabeth “Betsy” A. Gilbert, 64, of Camanche passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at her home.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life is being planned for sometime in the future. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to serve the Gilbert family.
Elizabeth Anne Chandler was born September 3, 1959 in Camanche, Iowa, the daughter of James and Cecilia (Kohler) Chandler. She was a graduate of Camanche High School and married Charles Gilbert on October 25, 1980 in Camanche. Betsy worked as a cook at the Camanche High School for over 20 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, coloring, shopping and cooking but mostly she loved time spent with her family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Charles Gilbert of Camanche; two daughters: Amanda (Jason) Plocek of South Bend, Indiana and Bre-Anne (Jesse) Olson of Camanche, Iowa and one sister Margaret (Matthew) Hattan of Camanche. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the family or to Dutrac Credit Union under Jesse Olson to help with funeral expenses.
