Elizabeth Bishop's Obituary
Elizabeth M.”Betty” Bishop, 95, of Clinton died Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. Funeral services will be 10:30am Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30am until the service hour at the funeral home where a Rebekah Service will be conducted. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Elizabeth Margaret Bishop was born on June 22, 1915 in Clinton, the daughter of Stephen and Essie (Goodwin) Bishop. She was a 1933 graduate of Clinton High School. She was employed as a Seamstress at the Clinton Garment Factory for over 27 years until retiring in 1980. She had also been employed with the Rich Toy Factory for 15 years. She was a member of the Clinton Rebekah Lodge #13 for over 50 years where she was past Noble Grand, Olive Camp #501, Women of the Moose, Eagle Auxiliary Aerie #706, and the Royal Neighbors of America. Elizabeth lived by the Golden Rule. She enjoyed watching TV, reading, playing bingo and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister in law. Memorials may be made to The Rebekah Lodge #13.
