Elise Orr's Obituary
Elise T. Orr, 88, of Camanche, passed away, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.
Private Graveside Services will be Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory – Camanche is assisting the family.
Elise Thelma Cline was born on March 21, 1926 in Pilot Mound, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Yetive (Louis) Cline. She graduated from Pilot Mount High School in 1943. She married Everett Orr on May 31, 1946 in Boone, Iowa; he died January 19, 1991.
Elise was a homemaker. She also worked at Mercy Hospital in housekeeping and at Vanderbeck Dry Cleaning – East Moline, Illinois.
Elise enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, camping and spending time with the Coachman Camping Club, enjoyed spending time with the CB’ers, reading, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles.
Elise is survived by her daughter: Candace (David) DeShazier of Camanche; two grandchildren: Karrie (Jeff) Palsgrove of Camanche and Dan (Stacy) DeShazier of Dubuque; three great-grandchildren: Lindsay, Emma, and Jacob; and two sisters: Zelda Alderson of Colorado Springs, Co, and Avis McDevitt of Perry.
Elise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart or American Diabetes Association.
