Elayne M. Goldsmith, 94, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Alverno.
Private Family Graveside Services will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Elayne Marilyn Gade was born on November 26, 1930, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Gehrmann) Gade. She was a 1948 graduate of Clinton High School. She married William Goldsmith on February 14, 1953.
Elayne was employed with the City of Clinton in the Treasurer’s office for 25 ½ years.
Elayne was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Elayne is survived by her husband: William; her children: Lisa Roberts and Gary Goldsmith; three grandchildren: Erica (Drew) Wiener, Nathan (Vanessa) Hamm, and Joshua (Bella) Roberts; and five great-grandchildren: Boden, Maren, Hayes, Elayna, and Maddex. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Eldon.
Memorials can be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
