Elaine Hampton's Obituary
Elaine M. Hampton, 64, of Clinton, died Friday, July 4, 2008 at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton. Per Elaine’s wishes there will be no services. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Elaine Marie Hampton was born on September 4, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Leighton and Dena (Landon) Yadof. Elaine graduated from Preston High School in 1961. She was employed at the Lafayette Hotel and later at the Skyline Center as the head cook for many years. Elaine enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She cared for a number of children through the years. She cherished spending time with her family. Elaine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Thomas (Jonie Friis) Hampton; and two granddaughters: Ciara and Courtney Hampton all of Clinton.
