I will always hold Aunt Eila in my memory, fondly, as a central part of my childhood.
Eila connects to me through Beulah (my mother, Bob Payson's sister).
Here's what I know about Eila. Bob was Beulah's favorite sibling, He was many years younger, and she had nursed him through a health crisis, so the right choice of life partner was important to Beulah. it mattered for him. He was special.
Eila immediately and continually passed the test. She was special. I always felt that Mom was grateful that they had each other for so many years. Thank you, Aunt Eila.
