Edward Seward's Obituary
Edward D. Seward, 67, of Clinton, passed away, December 24, 2022 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Edward Dwight Seward was born on September 10, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Dwight and Marcella (Godfrey) Seward. He was a 1973 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Sandra Rose on March 10, 1978 in Albany.
Ed was employed at MetForm from 1984 until retiring in 2021. He enjoyed all types of music from playing the violin and guitar to performing with the Freedom Singers. He was a real social guy who never met a stranger. He enjoyed chatting online on spiritual chat groups and Facebook. He was an avid reader as he enjoyed researching and learning. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles. Most of all he loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his wife: Sandra of Clinton; his children: Bradley (Tiffany) Seward of Clinton, Rebecca (Jason) Rickertsen of Elvira; four grandchildren: Hailey, Caleb, Kaylee and Ava; his mother-in-law: Gladys Rose of Albany; and three sister-in-laws: Sue Perkins of Fulton, Marlene VanBuskirk of Albany and Brenda (Dwane) Harris of Fulton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a half brother: Clair; his father-in-law: Wayne Rose; and brother-in-laws: Mark Rose, Richard Perkins, and Myron VanBuskirk.
