Edgar Rusk's Obituary
Edgar W. Rusk, 92, of Clinton died Wednesday November 26, 2008 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements, and cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Sarah Harding Home. Visitation will be from 12:30PM until the service time. Edgar W. Rusk was born on April 9, 1916 in Belle Plaine, IA, the son of Louis L. and Marguerite (Tidball) Rusk. He was a 1934 graduate of Belle Plaine High School. He married Alice L. Slock on November 26, 1939 in Belle Plaine, IA; she died on February 2, 2005. He was an engineer with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 43 years until retiring in 1979. He was a former member of the First Congregational Church, Clinton Scottish Rite, Blue Lodge, Clinton Shrine Club, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and several railroad organizations. He is survived by one daughter: Anita (William) Joyner of Sandy, UT; one son: Mark (Carolyn) Rusk of Evansville, IN; 5 grandchildren and one sister: Carmen (Steve) Seaton of Seattle, WA. In addition to his wife Alice, he was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the family.
