Earl "Bob" R. Ball's Obituary
Earl “Bob” R. Ball, 93, of Clinton formerly of Payette, Idaho went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, September 25, 2023 at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory with Military Honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time at the funeral home. Earl will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Payette, Idaho. Earl Robert Ball was born September 21, 1929, the son of Earl and Mary (Witham) Ball. He served the United States Navy from 1952 - 1956 during the Korean Conflict and WWII. He served aboard the Rendova and Kersearge ships.
Bob married Vonda Loveland; she passed away in 2007. He later married Norma Stauffer on September 27, 2009. Together they retired to Clinton, Iowa where Norma was from. During his time in Clinton together they attended the River Church.
He is survived by his wife Norma of Clinton; five grandchildren: DJ, Lisa, Buddy, Robert and Renee; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; step-son: Robert (Rhonda) Stauffer of Camanche; and two step-grandchildren: Bailee and Tia. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vonda, son Kirk, daughter Ronda and one brother Bill.
Bob was a truly self-employed man. He was a seal coater for many years but also a very knowledgeable horse-trader. He raised and sold them. He operated his own cafe in Idaho for a while. He had a life full of adventure with the Lord always on his side. He met Norma and when they married he shared those adventures with her. His loving family was always in touch with him though they were many miles away. He will always be “Our Cowboy”
