I was really little when Duane died, and I wish I had known him better. But it's nice to here all the wonderful things people have said about him.
What a wonderful life Duane had on this earth. He will be missed, we know, but what a comfort to know that he will have an eternal life with his heavenly Father that will be beyond our comprehension. Praying for you all during these days that our Lord will give you peace and comfort that He alone can give.
Dear Marilyn and all of Mr. Luebe's family,
Mr. Luebe was my sophomore football coach when I went to Clinton High. I have many fond memories of Mr. Luebe's passion to see that we all did the best we could and no matter what the outcome of a game or a practice he was always proud of us and consequently, we were proud to have been lead by him.
Our paths have crossed from time to time and his smile and laugh are grand memories I savor of one of the great personalities of the Clinton community. I am so saddened for your loss and I know that he leaves you all with wonderful memories, too.
Rest in peace coach.
My sincere condolences.
I would like to offer my condolences to the whole family. I remember Mr. Luebe most for teaching me to type. I can see him in his short sleeve white shirt and tie, telling the class "If I can type with these fingers (holding up both hands)then you can too." His persistence and patience helped me in life and work all these years. Anytime I interview a new employee, I ask if they can type, and relate the story. His influence lives on.
Mr. Luebe was a wonderful man who was strong in his faith. As the mentor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he was one of the first people to introduce me to the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with Ed and your family.
Duane Luebe was a longtime friend and colleague of mine. I have admired him and talked with him many times. He was always so positive and loving of his family. Duane will long be remembered for his many contributions to Clinton school and his work with youth of the community. We will be in Minnesota during this coming weekend, but we will be thinking of this fine fellow.
Mr. Luebe was one of my favorite teacher. I will never forget his visit when I was in the hospital in Carroll, IA before my Senior year. He will be missed.
To the Luebe Family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all so much.
Dear Marilyn and all the family,
I am so sorry to hear about Duane. He was a kind and wonderful man. Please know that our thoughts are with you through this difficult time. Warmly, Mary Andrus
Sorry to hear about your father's passing. He was a fine man, teacher and coach. I remember him from when I took his accounting class in high school and from when I came over to your house when we were kids. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow.
