Dorothy E. Plum, 76, of Clinton, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the DePue City Cemetery – DePue, Illinois. Dorothy Ellen Robinson was born on January 28, 1938 in Carbondale, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Bernice (Short) Robinson.
Dorothy was a housekeeper with the Super 8 / Travelodge for many years. She was a also a secretary for Bert Watson law office. She was a caretaker to her children and grandchildren.
Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards with her family and friends. She loved to volunteer for the Salvation Army and was a very special woman.
Dorothy is survived by seven children: James (Rosa) Nance of Bulls Gap, Tennessee, Terry (Michael) Woods of Clinton, Carolyn Nance of Bremerton, Washington, Rose Figgins of Sullivan, Missouri, April Bohms of Tampa, Florida, Duane Plum, Jr. of Clinton, and Charlotte (Antonio) Reyes of Columbia, Tennessee; 31 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, her sister: Ruth (Mickey) King of Carterville, Illinois, and a halfsister: Peggy Ryder of Christopher, Illinois.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Richard, one sister, and four brothers.
