Dorothy I. Eickert, 81, of Andover, passed away, Sunday October 26, 2014 at her home.

Dorothy Inez Hudson was born on December 7, 1932 at home in South Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Orice and Marie (Cullen) Hudson. She was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School.
Dorothy worked at the Clinton Garment Factory and the Clinton Retirement Home.
Dorothy in her younger years enjoyed traveling with friends, dancing, and shopping. She enjoyed raising her family and watching her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting “The Club” and conversing with family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Mark (Deb) Eickert of Clinton, Brenda (Jeff) Gronwaldt of Clinton, Rita Eickert of Clinton, Dean Eickert of Andover, Donald (Peggy) Eickert of Bryant, and Wilbert (Sabrina) Eickert, Jr., of Clinton; seven grandchildren: John, Allan, Emily, Matt, Robert, Shyanne, and Raiden; one brother: Al (Kathy) Hudson of Clinton, her sister: Joyce (August) VonThun, Jr. of Fulton, her sister-in-law: Pat Hudson of Camanche; and her best friend: Florence Darsidan of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Shelia; two brothers: Robert and Thomas; and her two sisters: Lucille and Marian.
