Dorothy Breiter's Obituary
Dorothy C. Breiter, 87, of Clinton, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Alverno. Services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be 5 â?? 8 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the funeral Home. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery.
Dorothy was born January 13, 1924 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Frieda (Paulsen) Bahnsen. She married William Breiter on August 14, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa; he died April 4, 1984. Dorothy had been employed at the Curtis Company, the Odeon and was the cook at the Izaak Walton League for over 30 years. She had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Gerald) Carr of Clinton and granddaughters, Debra Carr of Clinton and Beverly (John) Berns of Decorah, Iowa.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Marvin Bahnsen.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
