Donna Streed's Obituary
Donna M. Streed, 80, of Clinton, died Thursday, March, 25, 2010 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jamie Liddle, John Howe, Stacey Hoenicke, Matt Welcher, Eric Streed, and Tracy Ruel. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Streed, Blake Hoenicke, Noah Liddle, Eli Smith, Peyton Ruel, and T.J. Ruel. Visitation will be 2 – 4pm Sunday at the funeral home. Donna May Carmichael was born on June 12, 1929, in Van Buren County, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Myrtle (Bonnett) Carmichael. She married William S. Streed on June 1, 1948 in North Liberty, Iowa. She was a Libertyville high school graduate and attended Parson’s College in Fairfield, Iowa. She worked as a teacher for one year before becoming a homemaker in her own home. Donna was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Fulton Country Club. She is survived by her husband William of Clinton; two sons: Dale (Karolyn) Streed of Wyoming, Michigan and Roger (Cathy) Streed of Camanche, Iowa; six grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; a brother: Robert Carmichael of Shenadoah, Iowa; and two sisters: Mary Stull of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Patty Morris of Fairfield, Iowa. She was preceded in death by parents and one sister. Memorials can be made to the family.
