Donna M. Klahn, 67, of Clinton passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be Saturday December 16, 2023 at the Eagle Point Lodge from 2-6pm. Her urn will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Clinton. Donna Marie McDonnell was born January 9, 1956 in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Leo and Violet May (Malone) McDonnell. She was a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Mark Klahn on September 2, 1978 and together they had three children; they were later divorced.
Donna was hard working, she worked in banking for many years at the Clinton Federal Savings & Loan, she was one of the cofounders of the Carousel Supper Club and retired from Collis Toolholder Corp. She enjoyed working weekends at the Plaza Bowl. She loved time spent with her children and grandchildren especially trips taken to Adventureland and the Lake of the Ozarks.
She is survived by her three children: Melissa (Matt) Kenworthy of Clinton, Kristina (Alex) Bane of Camanche and Justin (Jessica) Klahn of Camanche; grandchildren: Matthew Jr., Mallory, Melanie and Madison Kenworthy, Audree, Natalee and Sydnee Bane, and James, Jack and Jenna-May Klahn; siblings: Mary McClenning of Clinton and Gene (Cyndi) McDonnell of Clinton; sister-in-law: Peggy McDonnell of Lynn Center, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Joe (Faith) McDonnell, Tom McDonnell and Charlie McDonnell; and her parents-in-law: Louis and Lucille Klahn.
