Donna M. Johnson's Obituary
Donna M. Johnson, 84, of Clinton, passed away, June 8, 2021 at her home in Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, June 14, 2021 at the First Baptist Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Behrend, Michael Johnson, Jr., Benjamin Behrend, Florian Berger, and David Fitzwater. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00am to the service time at the church. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Donna Marie Fletcher was born on September 20, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Mervin and Emily (Holgerson) Fletcher. She was a 1954 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Donald A. Johnson on October 9, 1954 in Clinton; he passed away May 18, 2016.
Donna owned and operated Reynolds Restaurant from 1973 to 1993 with her husband. She also was a clerk for the Clinton County Recorder’s office for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, WA-TAN-YE, and the Fulton Country Club.
Donna is survived by two daughters: Terry (Forrest) Behrend of Janesville, Wisconsin, Tracy Weller of Bellevue, Nebraska; one son: Michael (Gloria) Johnson of Clinton; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister: Karen Carlsen of Camanche. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, and one sister.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church or Mercy Hospice.
