Donna Jean Hood's Obituary
Donna J. Hood, 71, of Clinton, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.
A gathering will be held at Donna’s house on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm. Per her wishes the body was cremated. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
Donna Jean Streets was born on February 16, 1942 in Clinton, the daughter of Horace and Emily (Strem) Streets. She was a graduate of Clinton High School.
Donna was a nurses aide at Mercy Medical Center. She was a welder for Allied Steel and Collis Company. She was also a bartender at Old Liberty for many years.
Donna enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and enjoying life.
Donna is survived by her daughter: Diana VenHuizen of Clinton; two sons: Dean VenHuizen of Clinton, and Dennis VenHuizen of Savanna, Illinois; four grandchildren: Tammy Bos, Michael Bos, Rachel Leif, and Jonathan Hess, two great-grandchildren: Cloe Lee and Michael Bos.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son: Daniel.
