Donna M. Aude's Obituary
Donna Aude, 91, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the home of her daughter.
There will be no services or visitation. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Donna Mae Barnhart was born on March 11, 1933 in Clayton County, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford and Bertha (Nockleby) Barnhart. She attended country school through grade school, and graduated from Guttenburg High School in 1951. She then attended the Jane Lamb nursing program in Clinton from 1951-1954.
Donna worked at Jane Lamb Hospital for 30 years in the pediatric department, retiring in 1986. She also worked at Job Corps from 1966 to 1969.
Donna married LaVerne Aude on July 10, 1954 at the St. Paul Church in Guttenburg; he passed away July 20, 2002. They had 48 great years together, enjoying their garden, doing the Farmers Market, playing cards with friends and traveling. Most of all they enjoyed when their grandchildren spent summer vacations with them.
Donna is survived by her son: Michael (Deborah) Aude of Washington, Michigan, and her daughter: Brenda (Gary) Krambeck of Davenport, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Ashlee Adams (Nate), and Amanda Kreig (Mike) from Michigan, Richard, Devin, Patty, Joe and Ethan Krambeck from Davenport, Iowa; six great-grandchildren: Evelyn Krambeck from Davenport, Joe Hier and Noah and Samuel Adams, Blake and Brooklyn Krieg from Michigan; three step-great grandchildren: Sara, Abby, and Chole Adams from Michigan; and sister-in-laws: Marilyn Aude of Clinton, Iowa and Wilma Barnhart of Garnavillo, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers: Arthur, Duane, and Paul, and one in infancy, four brothers-in-law, and five sisters-in-law.
