Donald G. Shadle's Obituary
Donald “Duck” G. Shadle, 74, of Clinton passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026 at his home.
Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with cremation services.
Donald Glenn Shadle was born November 13, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Harold and Arlene (Nimms) Shadle. He served in the National Guard and worked for Dairy Pac Evergreen Packaging for 45 years when he retired. He married Sandy Treakle in 1995 and they have been together for more than 40 years.
Duck enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He truly loved his granddog Hank. He enjoyed side-by-side trips with Sandy, Rich and Lisa.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Shadle of Clinton; four children: Chris (Susan) Cutler of Bondurant, Iowa, Cari Shadle of Clinton, Dawn (Jake Tholen) Nylin of Clinton and Keli (Bubba) Dykstra of Fulton; nine grandchildren: Alley, Audrey, Jordan, Toni, Kodi, Tobi, Mason, Lizzy and Kaylee; 13 great grandchildren; eight step-children; and many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and his dog Bruiser.
