Donald Bach's Obituary
Donald D. Bach, 64, of Camanche, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Trinity at Terrace Park in Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Chuck Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Donald Dimming Bach was born on December 15, 1943 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Adolph “Jake” and Thelma (Reed) Bach. He married Brenda Bell on May 27, 1977 in Clinton, Iowa. Donald attended Savanna, Illinois schools. He also served in the United States Navy from 1961-1964. Donald was employed by John Deere in Davenport, Iowa from 1977 until his retirement in 2003. Donald was a member of First Baptist Church, Camanche, he was an avid helper with the Clinton County Habitat for Humanity, and in his free time he enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. Donald is survived by his loving wife: Brenda Bach of Camanche; one son: Robert Bach of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his mother Thelma Bach of Savanna, Illinois; three grandchildren; Adrian (Jimmy Eggers) Stone, Aarika Stone, Rob Bach; one great-grandson: Nolan Eggers; one sister Sharon (Larry) Frederick of Belvedere, Illinois; one brother Richard “Dick” (Sherry) Bach of Fulton, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his father, and a daughter Denise Stone. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church, Camanche or Trinity Hospice.
