Donald Anderson's Obituary
Donald E. Anderson, 79, of Clinton, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - 1825 16th Street NW. Burial will follow in the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.
Donald Edward Anderson was born on February 19, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of John and Lulu (Hunt) Anderson. He married Marjorie Smith in Stillwater, Oklahoma on February 8, 1952; she later died March 26, 1999.
Donald was a 1948 graduate of Stillwater High School. He later served in the United States Army from 1948-1950 Donald was a machine operator with DuPont for many years, retiring in 1985.
Donald was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints.
Donald is survived by four sons: Loren (Joyce) Anderson of Davenport, Iowa, Ronald Anderson of Sacramento, California, John (Cynthia) Anderson of Tampa, Florida, and Howard (Andrea) Anderson of Clinton; 10 grandchildren and one sister: Sylvia Fynn of Washinton state.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother.
Memorials can be made to the Arthritis Association or the Lupus Foundation.
