Don Williamson's Obituary
Donald E. Williamson, 71, of Camanche passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Don was born to Donald and Mary (Latimer) Williamson on March 17, 1953. Don was on of four children. He attended Camanche Schools and went into the workforce, he had a few jobs and was also a EMT and volunteer fireman for the Camanche Fire Department for many years. He married Nancy Hayes on April 16, 1977; together they raised three children. Don and Nancy parted ways after the kids were out of school.
Don enjoyed spending his retirement with his dog Nova. He was a huge animal lover. He also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. People say if you saw Don; you saw his dog riding shotgun.
Don is survived by his children: Bill Hayes of Bettendorf, Andrea Williamson of Clinton, Donald Williamson of Bettendorf, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his brother: Doug Williamson, his sister: Debra LeQue, many nieces and nephews; and his loving dog: Nova. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: David Williamson.
A celebration of Don’s life will be at the at Camanche bowling alley, Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm. The family requests to dress in casual wear or Iowa Hawkeye wear.
