Dolores Herrity's Obituary
Dolores L. Herrity, 85 of Sabula, Iowa died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her home. Private services will be held at the Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Dolores was born May 26, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Peter and Mardell (Chambers) Bonde. She married Robert T. Herrity on May 14, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa; he died December 7, 1987. Dolores had been employed at the Burpee Seed Company in Clinton for 30 years, retiring in 1982. She had also been employed at Warren's Industry for a few years. Dolores loved animals, especially cats. Her favorite eating spot was the Village Inn. She also enjoyed bingo and bowling. Survivors include her daughter, Katherine (Keith) May of Sabula, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Linda and her parents. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
