Diane L. Pillers' Obituary
Diane L. Pillers, 78, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Kris Kerns, Dr. Michael Mitchell, Zach Johnson, and William Kerns.
Diane Lee (Meyer) Pillers was born September 18, 1947, in Clinton, the daughter of LeRoy and Diana (Cross) Meyer. She was a 1966 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and married James Pillers on September 26, 1970, in Clinton.
Diane was a receptionist at her husband’s law practice for 20 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed ballroom dancing, cross stitching, bowling, enjoying a glass of wine with her YaYa friends, and spending time with her family. Of paramount importance in Diane’s life, beyond her many interests, was her fierce love and loyal devotion to her family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Pillers of Clinton; four daughters, Jennifer (Kris) Kerns of Nevada, Iowa; Angela Boone of Lowell, Arkansas; Danette (Dr. Michael) Mitchell of Fountain Hills, Arizona; and Nicole Pillers of Clinton; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and her sister, Barbara Kettmann of Los Gatos, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marcia (Meyer) Fey.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton, Iowa, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
